It all rides on leitmotifs: every witness and every reveal gets its theme, and the music becomes a genuine player in Capcom's investigation work. The pressure cues swell as the noose tightens, while a tense, jazz-tinged orchestration underscores objections and contradictions. Hearing those motifs again, years later, is enough to revive the thrill of the courtroom.

An underrated gem

Long stranded in Japan, these two Miles Edgeworth adventures are the great forgotten chapter of the courtroom saga, the second never even officially translated before this collection. Here you swap the courtroom for combing crime scenes, cross-referencing clues and testimony across finely written cases. The slower pace puts some off, but the polished writing and humor work wonders. Ideal for Ace Attorney fans ready to explore an overlooked side of the series.

Is Ace Attorney Investigations Collection still worth playing in 2026?

Edgeworth leaves the bench to investigate in the field, and this collection finally makes both episodes accessible, the second in a long-awaited official localization. The deductive logic, the top-down movement and the confrontations keep the series' spirit while loosening it up. The sharp dialogue and the prosecutor's arrogant tone land beautifully. The pacing stays very slow, as all Ace Attorney does, and the puzzles are rarely tough. But for fans of investigations written with flair, it is a genuine, well-preserved treat.
