ARMS remains a clever Nintendo curiosity: ranged boxing where you curve your punches and read your opponent. It is instantly approachable yet genuinely deep, though the solo content runs thin fast. Brilliant in local play, especially with savvy friends.

Memorable bosses

A futuristic boxing brawl with stretching arms, ARMS builds all its tension around its colourful opponents. Master Mummy, Twintelle and the dreaded Hedlok demand reading trajectories, throwing feints and managing distance in a ballet of curving punches. Motion controls and verticality turn every duel into an electric exchange of blows.

Better with friends

Stretching springy arms to punch from a distance makes for a competition as readable as it is deep, playable by waggle or by buttons. At four, it quickly tips into joyful mayhem, especially in 2v2 where coordination tangles with the chaos. Easy to grasp yet rich in feints and angles, it breeds rivalries and belly laughs, and gladly relaunches for a few impromptu rounds.
