Dark Alliance sequel with more playable characters and enriched mechanics. Loot system is deeper, levels more varied. Co-op still as fun. Overall superior to the first. A must for hack & slash fans.

Is Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance II still worth playing in 2026?

An action RPG from Black Isle, Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance II extends the hack and slash adventure in the Forgotten Realms world, where you play a hero crossing dungeons and cities with snappy combat, magic and loot to collect, playable cooperatively in pairs. The fluidity of the action, the richness of the loot and the generosity of the cooperation appeal to fans of hack and slash and of the Dungeons and Dragons world. The repetitiveness of the clashes and a linear structure remain typical of the genre. For a fan of cooperative hack and slash or of the Forgotten Realms, the title keeps a preserved fluidity and fun.
