Arkham prequel less polished than predecessors, but still a very good game. Pleasant wintery Gotham exploration, combat still effective. Decent WiiU version. For saga fans who haven't played this episode yet.

A snowbound Christmas Eve, red and blue neon slicing the black: this Gotham of youth bathes in an icy film noir. The hushed jazz and frosted façades extend a striking urban melancholy. This wintry, disenchanted atmosphere gives the origin story a memorable visual signature.

Is Batman - Arkham Origins still worth playing in 2026?
A prequel developed by WB Games Montreal, Batman Arkham Origins reuses the proven Arkham formula, rhythmic combat and stealth, to tell a Christmas night where a young Batman faces a bounty hunt launched by Black Mask. The recreation of a snowy Gotham and the introduction of the Joker win over fans. The lack of risk taking and original technical issues weigh it down. A good action adventure for Batman fans, if short of matching Rocksteady's entries.
