Battlefield Hardline gives BF a police twist with car chases, heists and cops vs criminals. Original concept but less inspired multiplayer than military BF entries. Honest spin-off for fans.

Is Battlefield Hardline still worth playing in 2026?

An FPS from Visceral Games and DICE, Battlefield Hardline shifts the series' war formula towards a clash between police and criminals, with a campaign in the tone of a cop TV show and multiplayer focused on heists and chases. The snappiness of the gunfights, the original multiplayer modes and the staging win over FPS fans. The tonal gap with the series and the closure of online servers weigh on it. A title for fans of snappy multiplayer FPS and urban crime fiction on PS3.
