Third PS2 entry adapted from Normandy campaign events. Some improvements but the formula starts feeling repetitive. Remains honest for dedicated series fans but less convincing for those who played previous entries.

An entry in the series from Treyarch, Call of Duty 3 refocuses the action on the Battle of Normandy after the landing, following Allied soldiers from several nations through an intense, spectacular scripted campaign, punctuated by contextual melee phases. The brisk pace, the cinematic staging and the scale of the clashes appeal to fans. The PS2 version below the new generation builds and the linearity have aged. A good shooter for fans of retro war FPS and the Second World War.
