The first CoD built for consoles, structured around three allied soldiers. Short, heavily scripted missions and a clear Hollywood vibe already. Decent on pad but well below the PC CoDs of the same era. Take it as a brisk console FPS.

Is Call of Duty - Finest Hour still worth playing in 2026?

Call of Duty's first foray onto home consoles, Finest Hour brings the series' scripted intensity to the GameCube, through interweaving campaigns experienced from the viewpoint of American, British and Soviet soldiers. The staging of the great Second World War battles and the feeling of belonging to a unit stay effective, despite marked linearity and a presentation behind the PC versions. For fans of military FPS and the curious about the franchise's console beginnings, it keeps real historical value and a definite sweep.
