A gorgeous 3D remake of Rondo of Blood plus the original PC Engine cut and Symphony of the Night as bonuses; absolute caviar for Castlevania fans. Yamane's orchestral score is breathtaking, likely the ultimate classic-era package.

"Captivating"
Hand-drawn sprites of rare finesse, a gothic castle teeming with detail and flickering light: the game raises pixel art to a peak of morbid elegance. The richness of the animation and the spellbinding atmosphere overflow with refinement. This graphic virtuosity, dark and sumptuous, remains an absolute of the genre.
Under Michiru Yamane's lead, the music makes the castle ring with flamboyant gothic themes, from the legendary "Bloodlines" to baroque melodies. Each room pulses with a dark, rousing nobility, faithful to the series' soul. This orchestral richness, sumptuous and nervy, elevates this rebirth of a classic.

Roaming Dracula's castle whip in hand, flushing out secret passages and sub-weapons before besting a cunning boss keeps reviving the urge to explore further. Alternate routes, hidden items and Symphony of the Night as a bonus chain discoveries and rewards. A few difficulty spikes sting, but this blend of action and exploration keeps its pull intact.

Castlevania - The Dracula X Chronicles (PSP) price, value & rarity
The Western version of Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles, made in low volume then become one of the priciest PSP UMDs complete in box. Its appeal lies in genuine physical scarcity combined with content fans dreamed of, gathering the remake and original versions of Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night. A leading target for Castlevania collectors in the West.
Memorable bosses
A sumptuous remake of a cursed classic, this version raises a gallery of gothic guardians of dark charisma: specters, stone golems, Death scything across the screen and a Count Dracula who keeps transforming to the end. Each clash demands reading patterns and striking true, carried by bewitching orchestral themes. Taut difficulty and a twilight staging make these duels the stuff of legend.
Is Castlevania - The Dracula X Chronicles still worth playing in 2026?
Castlevania - The Dracula X Chronicles, known in Japan as Akumajou Dracula X - Chronicle, is a stunning 3D remake of Rondo of Blood, accompanied by the original PC Engine release and Symphony of the Night as bonuses. Pure caviar for Castlevania fans: Michiru Yamane's orchestral score is sublime, the remake keeps the original's soul while modernising presentation. Probably the ultimate classic-saga compilation. Still an absolute must today.
