Online mech combat from FromSoftware, sadly cut off from its servers for years now. The solo experience holds up okay, but we've lost the heart of what made the game tick. A historical curiosity for genre devotees.

A mecha action game from FromSoftware, Chromehounds has you pilot heavy combat robots assembled part by part, in a persistent online war where three nations contested territory in real time. The deep mech customisation, the weight of the controls and the team strategy dimension made it a singular experience. The permanent server closure amputated its multiplayer heart, leaving only a limited solo campaign. A title for fans of mechs, customisation and the curious about FromSoftware before Souls.
