Croc 2 improves on its predecessor with better camera and more varied levels. Argonaut Games' 3D platformer delivers an enjoyable family adventure with Croc. More accessible than the first, it remains a solid and pleasant genre representative on PS1.

Is Croc 2 still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Argonaut's 3D platformer, Croc 2 sends the little crocodile to rescue the Gobbos across colourful worlds structured into mission villages, more varied than in the first outing. The cartoon charm, the generous levels and the good natured mood make it a pleasant adventure for younger players and families. The fickle camera and sometimes imprecise handling betray the limits of period 3D. An endearing platformer for fans of retro platforming and 32 bit mascots.
