Is Dante's Inferno still worth playing in 2026?

An action game from Visceral Games, Dante's Inferno freely transposes Dante's poem into a combat game where the poet, turned crusader, descends the nine circles of Hell to save Beatrice's soul, scythe and cross in hand. The macabre, inventive art direction, the snappy combat and the spectacular staging of the damnations win you over. The very marked kinship with God of War and a certain repetition weigh on it. A good action game for fans of brutal hack and slash and gothic infernal imagery.
