A Backbone action platformer, Root of Evil brings to Wii the adventures of Death's son and his band of morbid kids, in a gothic cartoon world full of dark humour. The mix of combat, platforming and two player co-op puzzles adds a little texture to the formula. The rough camera, repetitive fights and an average production place it among the minor titles. A curiosity for fans of light macabre aesthetics and players after lesser known Wii platformers.
