Sequel to the legendary PC Deus Ex, adapted for console with regrettable concessions. Smaller spaces, simplified inventory. Less deep than the original but still an immersive experience. For Deus Ex fans wanting to see how Ion Storm evolved.

Is Deus Ex - Invisible War still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Ion Storm's masterpiece, Deus Ex Invisible War extends the immersive action RPG into a cyberpunk future where each mission is solved by stealth, combat, hacking or diplomacy, through choices with branching consequences. The freedom of approach, the conspiratorial writing and the rival factions stay fascinating. The simplification against the first game and a production compromised by console constraints disappointed purists. An immersive RPG to recommend for fans of science fiction and freedom of play.
