A questionable morality

Raising digital creatures as faithful companions sounds wonderfully friendly, until you notice the friendship mostly exists to send them pummeling other monsters in an endless stream. You feed them, train them, evolve them so they hit harder, and the lofty theme of an unbreakable bond quietly turns into running a combat stable.
