Is Doom 3 - BFG Edition still worth playing in 2026?
Released in 2012 on Xbox 360, id Software's BFG Edition gathers Doom 3, its expansions and the first two Doom games in one package, with a flashlight now usable at the same time as weapons, which changes everything. The claustrophobic horror of the Mars corridors, the oppressive sound design and the rhythm between tension and release keep their effectiveness. The fights stay a little stiff against recent standards. But the generosity of the content and the nostalgia make up for it. For fans of atmospheric shooting and the id heritage curious, this compilation keeps a real interest today.
