Second Budokai entry with a more developed story mode and improved capsule combination system. Combat is more fluid and customisation deeper. A solid entry marking the series' progression towards greater depth.

Is Dragon Ball Z - Budokai 2 still worth playing in 2026?
The second Budokai from Dimps, this 3D fighting game widens the roster, fleshes out the capsule system and introduces a board adventure mode that replays the Dragon Ball Z story in an original way. The transformations, the fusions and the spectacular attacks gain variety, for versus fun still immediate in multiplayer. The technical depth stays modest and repetition lurks in solo. A good brawler to recommend for fans of Dragon Ball Z and lovers of content rich arcade versus.
