Faithful to the spirit of the first, the sequel piles up catchy, melodious pop themes cut for Scrooge's new adventures. Each level sparkles with joyful tunes that match the game's cartoon charm. This melodic generosity, polished and rousing, confirms Capcom's talent for NES chiptune.
A European PAL NES release at the very end of the cycle, 1993, with a drastically short print. The PAL cart now ranks among the most expensive Capcom Disney NES titles in the world, on par with PAL Chip 'n Dale 2. CIB in an intact cardboard box is an outright grail, and even verifiable loose carts hit high marks. Real physical scarcity, amplified by the total absence of any physical reissue.

DuckTales 2 arrived late in the NES life cycle and technically surpasses the first entry. Even more inventive in its levels and mechanics, with an improved non-linear progression system and richer treasure hunting, Capcom's title has become rare and expensive but the pleasure stays intact. Controls stay precise, the soundtrack matches the original's standard. A strongly recommendable sequel to chain after the first today.
