Saturn port of Duke Nukem 3D, one of the cult FPS of the era. The port is honest despite some slowdown and reduced framerate. The crude humour and action remain intact. Still fun for a retro session.

Is Duke Nukem 3D still worth playing in 2026?

Duke Nukem 3D brings 3D Realms' cult FPS to Saturn, in which the macho hero cleans up a futuristic Los Angeles overrun by aliens with shotgun and cutting one-liners. The ingenious level design, the deep interaction with environments and the crude humor built the original's reputation, and the port makes honorable use of the machine despite a few compromises. The irreverent spirit stays intact. For fans of snappy retro FPS and ribald humor, it is a solid conversion of a genre classic.
