PS1 port of the PC RTS Dune 2000, remake of Dune II. Resource management and battles between Atreides, Harkonnen and Ordos on Arrakis remain captivating. Less convenient than PC with the pad but Dune's universe makes the strategic experience interesting despite constraints.

Is Dune 2000 still worth playing in 2026?

A PlayStation port of Westwood's RTS, Dune 2000 revisits Frank Herbert's world where three rival houses fight over the spice of planet Arrakis. The resource harvesting, the base building and the real time battles, punctuated by live action cutscenes, carry on the legacy of the genre's founder. Pad control weighs against the mouse, and readability suffers on a CRT. A strategy classic for fans of RTS and the Dune universe.
