F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin is the sequel to the horror FPS with Michael Becket and still terrifying Alma. Claustrophobic atmosphere, solid gunplay, effective horror sequences. Honest sequel but less impactful than the first.

Is F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Monolith's horror FPS, F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin extends the marriage of slow motion gunplay and supernatural terror around Alma, with more varied environments, a heightened horror staging and exoskeleton sequences. The snappy firefights under bullet time, the solid AI and the disturbing atmosphere appeal to genre fans. A certain linearity and a less surprising dread than the first entry weigh a little. A good shooter for fans of snappy FPS and atmospheric horror.
