Project Origin broadens the F.E.A.R. canvas with a more charismatic lead and effective urban horror sequences. The shooting keeps its punch, the writing tightens, and Alma remains one of gaming's most iconic spectres.

Is F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin still worth playing in 2026?
A horror FPS from Monolith, F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin extends the formula blending snappy gunfights in tactical slow motion and supernatural chills around the spectral girl Alma. The quality of the gunfights, the enemy AI and the harrowing atmosphere stay its strong points. The slightly muddled story and horror less surprising than in the first entry weigh on it. A solid title for fans of snappy FPS with a horror component and John Woo style tactical slow motion.
