Galerians is a unique cyberpunk PS1 survival horror where Rion, an android, uses psychic powers rather than weapons. Original gameplay based on drug and PSI ability management. Oppressive atmosphere and mature scenario. A memorable oddity of the genre on PS1.

An underrated gem

A cerebral survival horror in which a child with psychic powers fights his enemies through the sheer force of the mind, at the cost of a drug addiction eating away at him. Its stiffness and slow pace worked against it next to the genre's heavyweights. Its anxiety-inducing atmosphere and disturbing anime aesthetic will delight fans of singular narrative horror.

Is Galerians still worth playing in 2026?

A Japanese survival horror from Polygon Magic, Galerians features a young boy gifted with psychic powers who must manage a drug to unlock his abilities while facing enemies in a nightmarish atmosphere. The concept of mental attacks, the chilling narrative and the clinical aesthetic give the title a strong identity. The fixed cameras, the slow pace and the frustrating healing management show their age. A horror curiosity to recommend for fans of narrative survival and disturbing science fiction atmosphere.
