EA Redwood Shores adapt The Godfather into an honest if unspectacular open world on 360. Rackets and family wars remain enjoyable, the cinematic voice cast pays homage to the film, and the vintage New York vibe still pulls in Coppola fans.

An open world adaptation from Electronic Arts, The Godfather lets the player climb the ranks of 1940s New York mafia by extorting businesses, taking out rivals and extending their grip, at the margins of the film's plot. The criminal freedom, the period atmosphere and the intimidation mechanic win over fans of mob sandboxes. The presentation and the driving have aged. A solid open world for fans of Puzo's novel and lovers of mafia games in the Grand Theft Auto spirit.
