Neversoft open world western TPS, dark and effective revenge story. Well-rendered Far West atmosphere, varied and satisfying weapons. Shorter and less ambitious than Red Dead but offers solid western experience for its era.

Description
Colton White, the adopted son of a frontiersman, uncovers the truth about his origins while pursuing a ruthless avenger across the American West of 1880. Published by Activision, released in 2005 in the United States and Europe. Open-world set in the Wild West with around twenty missions, pistol duels, bounty hunting, a horse as a companion, and voices from Tom Jane and Kris Kristofferson.

A questionable morality

The reconstructed Wild West looks like a romantic playground, until you take the measure of the carnage: you draw at the slightest provocation, hunt buffalo by the herd and settle every dispute with a revolver. The revenge story dresses it all in western nobility, while the bulk of it comes down to sowing gunsmoke and corpses across an already savage frontier.
