TPS based on the Gungrave anime featuring Beyond the Grave in linear mass-destruction levels. Frantic action with the coffin weapon and imposing bosses are exhilarating. Short but intense, the visual universe and extreme action make it a cult title for anime fans.

Story
"Captivating"
Cel-shading by Yasuhiro Nightow, a stylish hero and choreographed gunfights: the action takes on the air of a jubilant anime. The bold outlines and sharp colours reinforce a constant graphic snap. This visual identity, dark and flamboyant, turns the carnage into pure spectacle.

Memorable bosses

Designed by the creator of Trigun, this frantic shooter rains bullets on hordes of enemies before duels against former brothers-in-arms turned monstrous. Riddling these charismatic guardians while managing overheating and special moves gives a turbocharged rhythm. The sharp anime designs and the rage of these face-offs make up for deliberately direct action.

Is Gungrave still worth playing in 2026?

A third person shoot 'em up from Red Entertainment, Gungrave casts a revenant with two infinite revolvers and a weapon laden coffin, mowing down hordes of enemies in snappy action with character design by Yasuhiro Nightow, creator of Trigun. The frantic pace, the stylish look and the scoring system win over fans of pure arcade action. The short lifespan and repetition divide. A title for fans of stylish heavy calibre shooting and the Nightow aesthetic.
