Gothic horror RPG by Hiroki Kikuta, where Romani medium Koudelka investigates the haunted Nemeton Monastery in Victorian Wales. Created by Sacnoth, published by SNK for Japan and Infogrames for the USA and Europe, released in 1999 in Japan and in 2000 in the United States and Europe with multilingual versions. Grid-based turn-based combat, pre-rendered horror exploration, English voice acting and Hiroki Kikuta's orchestral score. European multilingual editions.

An underrated gem

An overlooked ancestor of the Shadow Hearts series, this gothic horror RPG unfolds in a haunted Welsh manor, steeped in occultism and backed by careful voice acting. Its slow grid-based battles and sluggish pacing disappointed. But its macabre atmosphere and mature writing make it a singular experience for fans of dark, adult RPGs.
