Action-platformer featuring a warrior cat in a medieval fantasy universe. Solid but conventional gameplay and likeable humour make it accessible. A decent niche title that does not reach the creativity of PS2's great platformers but pleasantly entertains genre fans.

Is Legend of Kay still worth playing in 2026?

An action adventure from Neon Studios, Legend of Kay follows a young cat wielding martial arts to free his village in a colourful Asian inspired world. The combo combat, the exploration and the good natured humour make it a pleasant family title, in the line of mascot action adventures. The slightly stiff handling, uneven voice acting and a modest production place it in the genre average. A likeable title to recommend for fans of accessible action adventure and stylised Asian worlds.
