Story
"Solid"
A universe made of fabric, cardboard and tinkered objects: everything evokes a sewing workshop turned playground, of irresistible tactility. The handmade charm of the settings and the roundness of Sackboy overflow with tenderness. This art direction, warm and inventive, makes the game a visual object apart.

Collector interest

A Media Molecule sequel turning LittleBigPlanet's workshop into a near-universal creation engine, letting players build shooters, races and complex machines. Widely distributed in the West, its appeal stays measured and rests on this celebrated broadening of creation tools rather than scarcity. An affordable piece for fans of creative gaming and the Sackboy mascot.

Better with friends

A creative platformer of irresistible charm, built for four-player local co-op where you help each other through levels packed with traps. Mutual aid takes on a joyful chaos: shoving each other by accident, fluffing a jump together and laughing at the wipeouts is the whole spice of it. The shareable, inexhaustible creation tools extend the fun and make it an endless family playground.

Is LittleBigPlanet 2 still worth playing in 2026?

LittleBigPlanet 2 surpasses the original by turning its editor into a true game engine in disguise. Where the first let you build platforming levels, its sequel allows the creation of entire games, from shoot-em-ups to racing games, puzzles and cutscenes, which multiplies the community's invention. The campaign stays charming and the platforming still accessible, carried by Sackboy. The wealth of tools can intimidate, but the learning stays gradual. For anyone who loves to create, share or simply explore an inexhaustible flow of creations, this creative masterpiece remains essential.
