First Midway Mortal Kombat in 3D, the formula reinvented after the 2D golden age. Solid roster, signature brutality intact and spectacular fatalities. Technical polish still wanting but it puts the franchise back on the rails. Pleasant without more.

The crashing return of a cult saga: brutal fights, three styles per character and the bloody fatalities that built its name. The weight of the blows registers in every exchange, and the satisfaction of landing a perfect combo is instant. Dark, visceral and rich in content, a blow-off built for fans of muscular brawling.

Is Mortal Kombat - Deadly Alliance still worth playing in 2026?
Deadly Alliance marks the series' forceful return in full 3D, with its multiple fighting styles per character and unapologetic gory humor. The system retains real character and the fatalities still land hard, even if stiff animations and balance betray their age against today's fighters. For an MK fan or anyone curious about the franchise's evolution, it is a milestone that stays enjoyable to play.
