A versus fighter from Midway, Mortal Kombat - Deception enriches the series' three dimensional formula with interactive settings, pickable weapons, environmental deaths and a host of side modes, including a surprising chess minigame and an adventure mode. The overflowing generosity of the content, the multiple style system and the emblematic violence appeal to versus fans and fans of the licence. The stiffness of some clashes and a dated production bound the ambition. For a fan of fighting games or of Mortal Kombat, the title keeps a preserved generosity and intensity, in a dated edition.
