Is NBA Courtside 2002 still worth playing in 2026?

This Nintendo basketball sim takes care with its presentation and offers a decent franchise mode, but it suffers from somewhat stiff gameplay and dated AI that have aged poorly. The four-player local multiplayer keeps a bit of fun among friends, nothing more. Against modern genre benchmarks, and even the NBA 2K titles of its time, the present-day appeal stays thin, especially for a player demanding solid on-court feel.
