Is NBA Live 06 still worth playing in 2026?

NBA Live 06 on GameCube captures a franchise losing momentum, already outpaced by rivals at launch. The Freestyle Air controls lack precision, the animation feels stiff and the dynasty mode inspires little. With a roster frozen on the 2005-2006 season, any sporting relevance has vanished and the game simply did not pass the test of time. Beyond an occasional casual match with friends, there are far better options. It holds no notable appeal for collectors either, frankly.
