A basketball simulation from EA Sports, NBA Live 2002 marks the series' debut on the original Xbox with a fleshed out franchise mode, the Freestyle move system and the full NBA licence. The clarity of the play, the richness of the management and the polished hip hop soundtrack won over fans at launch. The presentation and the AI have clearly aged, and online play has dried up. A good basketball simulation for nostalgics of early 2000s NBA and lovers of period EA sports.
