Is NBA Live 2004 still worth playing in 2026?

This entry introduces Freestyle controls, adding a little flair to dribbling, but the whole feels dated against today's basketball standards. The dynasty mode is fleshed out, yet the ball-handling feel and defensive AI have aged poorly. Stripped of its period rosters and licence, interest fades fast. Best left to those nostalgic for this NBA season or to collectors chasing the series on GameCube.
