The compilation places side by side two treatments of the same world: the original campaign and its rewrite, in which every level is shortened and redrawn around a time constraint. The second game also replaces the secondary character with a thief on an entirely new sprite, whose lanky silhouette and gliding gait cut against the troupe's usual roundness.
The themes are shared between the two campaigns but rearranged in the second at a higher tempo, an adaptation required by levels that last a hundred seconds. That acceleration transforms the character of the pieces without changing their melody, so you recognise every tune while immediately sensing which version you are in.
