Pac-Man World 3 is more ambitious but less inspired. Varied levels, nice ideas, but a few clunky stretches drag it down. Reserved for proper Pac-Man fans.

Description
A Namco sequel released in 2005 (US, Europe), the third entry in Pac-Man World. Pac-Man visits the Spectral Realm, a ghost parallel dimension, in a more narrative adventure. An enriched combat system and multiple costumes, but a mixed reception. The last main Pac-Man World on PS2.

Is Pac-Man World 3 still worth playing in 2026?

A 3D platformer from Namco, Pac-Man World 3 steers the formula towards more story and staging, with exploration phases, puzzles and combat in varied environments celebrating the licence's anniversary. The colourful art direction and the accessibility stay pleasant for younger players. The gameplay lacks bite, the temperamental camera and a certain repetition temper the adventure. An honest family platformer to recommend mainly to Pac-Man fans and lovers of gentle 3D platforming.
