Colorful and creative Paper Mario on WiiU, with an original card system for battles. Humor is excellent and writing is flavorful. Less deep than early Paper Marios but charming and generous. Better than often said.

Overflowing watercolour, crumpled paper and colours revived with a brush: everything celebrates material and rediscovered hue. The sets, painted like illustration plates, turn every scene into an animated book. This chromatic inventiveness, tender and polished, makes the game a feast for the eyes.

Paper Mario - Color Splash (Wii U) price, value & rarity
Is Paper Mario - Color Splash still worth playing in 2026?
An Intelligent Systems adventure, Paper Mario Color Splash continues the series' paper branch with dazzling art direction, where a world entirely made of paper regains its colours under Mario's hammer blows. The omnipresent humour, the inventive settings and the card based combat win through their creativity. The consumable card system and the lightened RPG divide fans of the early entries. A good adventure game for fans of unique art direction and humour on Wii U.
