Persona meets musou and the graft takes better than feared. The brisk battles keep the series' tactical flavor, and the writing holds onto the Phantom Thieves' charm. A warm summer sequel.

Persona 5's flamboyant style goes action: incandescent red and black, an interface that snaps with every menu and transitions of jubilant nervousness. This inimitable visual identity, carried over with all its swagger intact, makes every screen a fashion poster.

Memorable bosses

A bold crossover of RPG and musou action, this spin-off turns its confrontations into explosions of motion and strategy. The Monarchs join the figures of the original game in clashes that alternate real-time combos, character swaps and elemental weakness exploitation. Dodging, stunning, triggering team attacks: each boss demands adaptation and tempo, in a stylish deluge of effects.

Is Persona 5 Strikers still worth playing in 2026?

An action spin-off of the Phantom Thieves, Strikers trades Persona 5's turns for snappy Musou-style combat, and the shift works better than feared. The summer road trip extends the series' warm tone, the all-out attacks and stealth keep the Persona flavor. The story stays minor next to the parent game, and the dungeons stretch. But as a continuation for anyone who loved the crew, it is a real, well-paced pleasure. Still enjoyable, provided you know the original.
