Edge of Reality platformer-adventure, Pitfall classic reboot. Harry Pitfall through jungles, temples, ruins in Indiana Jones style, modern 3D gameplay. Decent execution, faithful atmosphere. Solid reboot but not innovative. Pleasant for fans of modernised retro adventure.

Is Pitfall - The Lost Expedition still worth playing in 2026?

This 3D revival of the venerable Pitfall does the job honestly without ever transcending the genre. Pitfall Harry crosses a jungle generous with vines, puzzles and hostile wildlife, in a platform-adventure formula that is competent but conventional for 2004. The controls work, the pulp mood entertains, but the whole lacks personality next to the era's heavyweights. Fans of old-school 3D platforming and the franchise's nostalgics will have a pleasant time, no revelation.
