Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy revisits ancient Egypt as a platform adventure. Inspired puzzles, a two-faced cast and a slick Eurodisney mood. A small Eurocom gem worth rediscovering.

Is Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy still worth playing in 2026?

An action adventure from Eurocom, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy alternates between the young demigod Sphinx, who explores a colourful mythological Egypt full of puzzles and combat, and a clumsy mummy who progresses through stealth and humour. The blend of the two registers, the warm art direction and the generosity of the puzzles make it an endearing adventure, halfway between Zelda and the genre's classics. The camera and a certain classicism have aged. A polished adventure to recommend for fans of exploration and Egyptian mythology.
