An arcade jet ski racing game from Rainbow Studios, Splashdown leans on snappy water races, polished water physics and a trick system to chain on waves and jumps for a speed boost. The sense of gliding, the water rendering impressive for its time and the pleasure of tricks win over fans of aquatic extreme sports. The slightly limited content and an uneven AI weigh on it. A refreshing title for fans of arcade water racing and acrobatic gliding.
