Each planet is framed from the camera positions the films had made familiar: the Geonosis plain seen at ground level, the Hoth trench taken head-on, the Endor canopy filtering light from above. Recognising a place therefore does not require crossing it, only arriving there.
Carried by John Williams's immortal themes, the music raises every galactic battle to the scale of a great film. From the Imperial March to heroic flights, the orchestra gives the clashes an epic breadth. This symphonic grandeur, faithful to the Star Wars myth, galvanises the action from end to end.
