This edition adds new theatres drawn from an alternate scenario. The art direction takes over iconic places of the saga, a snowbound Hoth swept by blizzard, the corridors of the Jedi Temple, and turns them into playgrounds for dark-side power. These familiar settings, diverted toward the display of force, offer a thrill of recognition tinged with menace.
Blending John Williams's immortal themes with original martial compositions, the music raises the fall toward the dark side to the scale of a great film. Dark brass and menacing choirs underline the power of the Force. This symphonic breadth, faithful to the galaxy, elevates every epic confrontation.
The additions dare an alternate story where the apprentice never redeems himself. Kept in the Emperor's service, he becomes his enforcer and confronts figures the legend called untouchable, crossing blades with an old Jedi master. This what-if tale, a dark mirror of the canonical ending, imagines what the tool would have become had he never chosen the light, pushing the darkness to its end.
