Strikers 1945 is the PS1 port of Psikyo's vertical arcade shmup. WWII planes against futuristic enemies in a stylized alternate history. Demanding vertical shooting gameplay with spectacular bosses. A solid niche shmup for Japanese vertical shmup fans on PS1.

Is Strikers 1945 still worth playing in 2026?

A vertical shooter from Psikyo, Strikers 1945 pits late World War II planes against oversized enemy forces, with spectacular transformable mechanical bosses. The snappy pace, the demanding patterns and the choice of planes with distinct shots embody the Psikyo school at its best. The fearsome difficulty and a short length are the genre norm. An excellent vertical shmup to recommend for fans of scoring, tight patterns and old school arcade shooting.
