Collector interest

A CyberConnect action-adventure with a strong animation charm, set in a world of anthropomorphs and flying machines, a first milestone of the aesthetic that would later lead to Solatorobo. Its limited runs make it a markedly sought piece, across all regions, among fans of this style. Its concrete scarcity and singular aura support a high value on the market.

An underrated gem

An action-adventure brimming with charm, set in a steampunk world peopled by anthropomorphic cats and dogs, it wins you over with art direction worthy of an animated film. A bit short and easy, it slipped by unnoticed. Its tenderness, its endearing world and its staging make it an enchanted interlude for fans of gentle adventures.

Is Tail Concerto still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 1998 on PS1 in Japan and in 1999 in the West, CyberConnect's project offers a platformer adventure of rare softness, where constable Waffle Ryebread must capture the Black Cats aboard his mech. The anthropomorphic art direction, the aerial staging and the music keep an intact charm. The handling stays accessible and the modest runtime suits a family narration. The camera can grow agitated. Recommended today for families, for CyberConnect devotees curious about the studio's origin and for PS1 collectors fond of original adventures on Sony's first home console hardware globally.
