Taito Legends 2 continues the arcade party with more rarities. Darius, Bubble Symphony, Cameltry and more. Even more generous and refined for arcade gem hunters.

Description
A Taito and Sega compilation released in 2006, the Western Taito Legends 2 sequel. Continuation of the anthology with 39 additional Taito golden age games (Bubble Memories, Cameltry, Chase HQ, Darius II, Liquid Kids, The New Zealand Story, Puzzle Bobble 2, Bubble Symphony). More complete and more diverse than the first entry, better covering Taito's 90s arcade. The absolute reference.

Story
"Anecdotal"
The collection spreads out Taito's contrasting palette of coin-ops. The cute rubs against the mechanical: the pastel bubbles of Bubble Bobble and the rainbows of Rainbow Islands neighbour the giant armoured fish of Darius, unrolled on stretched screens, or the urban action of Elevator Action. Leafing through the disc means gauging the gap between the studio's cartoon tenderness and mechanical excess.

Is Taito Legends 2 still worth playing in 2026?

The second entry in the Taito compilation, Taito Legends 2 widens the selection with more arcade classics from the publisher, including sharper titles and a few rarities prized by connoisseurs like Darius Gaiden or lesser known shoot 'em ups. The richness of the content, the variety of genres and the room given to confidential gems make it a tasty complement to the first volume. Uneven emulations and dated titles temper the whole. A compilation for retrogaming enthusiasts and demanding Taito arcade fans.
