Tenchu Fatal Shadows continues the ninja stealth with two heroines. More direct action, calmer staging and tighter runtime. A minor saga entry, but pleasant.

Description
An Acquire and Sega action-adventure released in 2005, the Fatal Shadows Tenchu franchise entry. Two ninjas (Rin, young warrior woman, and Ayame, veteran ninja) explore the Sengoku Jidai era through infiltration missions. Signature stealth mechanics, dark missions with selective assassinations. Shorter than main entries but well-crafted. Distributed in several Western regions.

Is Tenchu - Fatal Shadows still worth playing in 2026?

Stealth from K2 and known in Japan as Tenchu Kurenai, Fatal Shadows continues the series following two heroines in feudal Japan, where assassination from the shadows and discretion take priority over open combat. The tension of the silent hunt, the verticality of the levels and the twilight mood win over fans of stealthy ninjas. The temperamental camera, a dated AI and the recycling of the formula temper the whole. A good stealth game for fans of shadow ninjas and of the Tenchu series.
