Tenchu La Colere Divine is the French cut of Wrath of Heaven. Ninja stealth, decent local dub and the same content. A good French gateway to the series.

This stealth game stages the ninja's night in a feudal Japan. The art direction favors rooftops and shadows: one advances from ridge to ridge, grappling hook in hand, crouched in the dark waiting for a guard to turn away. The stealth kill, executed as a fleeting silhouette springing from the darkness, takes on a macabre elegance. This aesthetic of shadow and overhang makes discretion itself a visual spectacle.
The soundtrack draws on traditional Japanese instruments to set the feudal mood. Plaintive shakuhachi, plucked koto strings and taiko strikes first install a meditative calm, that of the crouched warrior who watches and waits. But let a guard's vigilance wake, and this serenity tenses at once, the percussion quickening in unison with the danger. The music thus marries the held breath of infiltration.

Is Tenchu - Wrath of Heaven still worth playing in 2026?
Stealth from K2 and Activision, Tenchu Wrath of Heaven, the series' third entry, places two ninjas in feudal Japan, where stealthy assassination from the shadows takes priority over direct confrontation. The satisfaction of the silent kill, the verticality of the levels and the hushed mood make all the appeal of a genre forerunner. The temperamental camera and a dated AI temper the whole. A good stealth game for fans of stealthy ninjas and nostalgics of the pioneers of shadow assassination.
