The first Transformers turns the film into turbo action. Giant robots, transformations and urban settings. Visually busy, fun without genius, pleasant for franchise fans.

Is Transformers still worth playing in 2026?

An action game from Melbourne House inspired by the Armada series, Transformers has you play the Autobots, who transform on the fly between robot and vehicle to fight the Decepticons across vast open 3D environments. The freedom of transformation, the sense of power and the snappy combat against enemy hordes appeal to fans of the licence. The fickle camera, a high difficulty and a degree of repetition weigh a little. A good action game for fans of Transformers and large scale robot combat.
