Prehistoric-jungle Turok FPS. Decent aim, dated AI, fine jungle vibe. Worth a few hours for series fans, forgettable next to FPS heavyweights.

Is Turok - Evolution still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 2002, this Acclaim entry brings the Turok license back to basics, a warrior facing dinosaurs and soldiers in a hostile jungle, firearms in hand. The prehistoric bestiary, the varied arsenal and a few pteranodon riding sequences build a wholehearted B movie mood. The progression stays linear and the AI dated, signs of its time. The wild art direction keeps a certain cachet, and fans of old school first person shooting and of Turok find a direct, brutal and exotic adventure.
